In “The Jengaburu Curse,” Priya Das, a London-based financial analyst portrayed by Faria Abdullah, receives a distressing call informing her of her father’s disappearance in Odisha.
Racing back to her hometown in Bhubaneswar, she discovers that her father, Swatantra Das, a long-time activist, has vanished, with local Naxalite groups suspected of involvement. Priya is placed under police protection due to unspecified risks, and she gradually unravels a web of rumors and political manipulation surrounding her father’s disappearance.
Her journey is both aided and complicated by a diverse group of individuals, including her empathetic IAS friend Dhruv Kannan (Sudev Nair), a social worker Mr Ravichandran Rao (Nassar), a mysterious Naxalite leader, and a foreign journalist searching for an exposé.
